Somewhere in the City by Tobias Froberg $20 |
Somewhere In The City presents off-center, but
moving, alt. folk from Swedish singer/songwriter Tobias Froberg. His
sophomore release, like his previous, is primarily the work of Froberg
alone with producer Linus Larsson, providing an eclectic and intriguing
array of sounds. Their timeless atmospheres and haunting performances
recall some of his influences like early Paul Simon, John Martyn, Tim
Buckley and Ron Sexsmith. Like-minded Danish folk-popster Teitur and
Froberg have co-written the Incredible String Band worthy title-track,
and Teitur also sings back-up and plays piano on the moving "For
Elisabeth Wherever You Are". There is also a shares a duet with fellow
Swede Ana Brun on the chilling "Love And Misery". Intriguing and
