and Earth Wisdom of the Renaissance by John Michael Greer ISBN: 9781578634316 Paperback, $38 |
Have you ever lost an important object? Are
you taking on a new job? Looking for buried treasure? Greer delivers to readers an ancient system of divination in an easy-to-use form requiring little more than a pen and a piece of paper. Using a system of counting odd and even numbers — from a deck of cards, a roll of the dice, or even by hitting sand or dirt with a stick to generate patterns—readers learn how to cast their own geomantic chart. And for those who wish to delve further, he offers exercises for geomantic meditation and ritual magic. The Art and Practice of Geomancy will appeal to pagans, followers of the Western Mystery tradition, scholars of folk magic and divination, and anyone who wants to take their past, present, and future into their own hands. |

Geomancy: A Method of Divination by Franz Hartmann $25 ISBN: 9780892541010 |
Geomancy, or “divining by means of the
earth,” was originally carried out by making marks in the dirt with a
divining stick and then determining the geomantic symbols from these
marks. It’s based on the idea that our movement is influenced by the
energies in circulation within and around us. This book explains the
modern method of geomancy using just a writing tool and a piece of paper
to obtain incredibly in-depth information. There are 16 geomantic symbols that correspond to planetary energies and zodiacal signs. The book explains the symbols, how to compile them, and how to read them. The three geomancy methods described herein are very simple but provide different levels of information. Included are 2,048 answers to 16 common questions and blank geomantic charts that you can photocopy to use for your divinations. |

The Hidden Oracle of India: The Mystery of India's
Naadi Palm Leaf Readers by Andrew & Angela Donovan ISBN: 9781846940743 $30 |
When the authors stumbled across the Naadi palm-leaf readers of India they were in India for a wedding. While there they found their destiny and made the shocking discovery that our lives have been determined and mapped out centuries before. This book coves the authors’ revelatory journey to the Naadis, to be told the precise details of their past, present and predictions of their future, which had been recorded in Sanskrit on palm leaves millennia ago, passed down by initiates to await long-destined appointments with those who come to find them. How does it feel to find out your soul’s true mission has been documented in detail on an ancient ‘leaf’ that relates to you alone, and then to learn your future? Angela Donovan found it a deeply uplifting experience, but for her husband Andrew it was a life-changing moment that left him reeling, his lifelong skepticism challenged and destroyed. The book speaks to both the spiritually minded and the skeptical. This book gives an inspiring look into one of the greatest mystical secrets of India – the hidden oracle. It tells readers how to find the Naadis for themselves. |

The Magical Ritual of the Sanctum Regnum by Eliphas Levi Introduction by R.A. Gilbert $33.90 |
Eliphas Levi
(1810 - 1875) was the greatest innovator in the revival of Western
Occultism, most significantly with his great leap of imagination that
linked the tarot trumps to the letters of the Hebrew alphabet He set out his tarot theory in his book Transcendental Magic, but never revealed its magical application. This was finally made public in 1896 when Dr William Westcott - creator of the Golden Dawn magical order - translated and printed Levi's secret manuscript contained in this book. This book aligns the major arcana symbolism with a detailed description of the ritual of the sanctum regnum, or Kingdom Of God. Robert Gilbert's introduction details the history of the manuscript as it passed from Barton Spedalieri - Levi's friend, disciple, and literary heir - to Anna Kingsford and Edward Maitland and finally to William Westcott. He also discusses Levi's influence on the Golden Dawn, particularly upon Westcott. In addition to being an important text for ceremonial magicians, with Westcott's notes on the tarot trumps, this book provides esoteric insights for students of the tarot. |

The Forest of Souls: A Walk Through the Tarot by Rachel Pollack ISBN: 9781567185331 $27.90 |
Join celebrated Tarot author, artist, and
scholar Rachel Pollack on a magical walk through the mysteries,
archetypes, and dream-like images of the Tarot. In the tradition of Carl
Jung and Joseph Campbell, Rachel draws upon symbols, myths, and folk
tales both ancient and modern, to illuminate the spiritual truths behind
the Tarot's symbols. The Forest of Souls unfolds like a dream, in a series of musings upon the confluence of the sacred and the mundane. How can a simple deck of 78 cards become keys unlocking life's greatest secrets? While the most common use of Tarot is for divination, Rachel shows how to use the cards for readings of an entirely different nature. Asking improbable, even impossible questions, she plays with the sacred possibilities and answers that the Tarot gives us. What nourishes my soul? What is soul? What is Tarot? What plan did God follow to create the universe? We now know that the Tarot was almost certainly not originally designed to include Kabbalistic and other occult correspondences. Yet such systems can greatly enhance our understanding of and relationship with the cards. Embracing paradox and non-linear thinking allows us to push the boundaries of the known and venture into the unknown. It is in that sacred space that we open ourselves to wonder and mystery. |

Mystical Origins of the
Tarot: From Ancient Roots to Modern Usage by Paul Huson ISBN: 089281190 RRP: $41.95 - Our price $40.00 |
A profusely
illustrated history of the occult nature of the tarot from its origins
in ancient Persia • Thoroughly examines the original historical source for each tarot card and how the cards’ divinatory meanings evolved from these symbols • Provides authentic 18th- and 19th-century spreads and divination techniques • Reveals the divinatory meanings of the cards as understood by diviners in the Middle Ages and Renaissance The origins of the tarot have been lost in the mists of time. Most scholars have guessed that its origins were in China, Egypt, or India. In Mystical Origins of the Tarot, Paul Huson has expertly tracked each symbol of the Minor Arcana to roots in ancient Persia and the Major Arcana Trump card images to the medieval world of mystery, miracle, and morality plays. A number of tarot historians have questioned the use of the tarot as a divination tool prior to the 18th century. But the author demonstrates that the symbolic meanings of the Major Arcana were evident from the time they were first employed in the mid-15th century in the popular divination practice of sortilege. He also reveals how the identities of the court cards in the Minor Arcana were derived from a blend of pagan and medieval sources that strongly influenced their interpretation in tarot divination. Mystical Origins of the Tarot provides a thorough examination of the original historical source for each card and how the cards’ divinatory meanings evolved from these symbols. Huson also provides concise and practical card-reading methods designed by the cartomancers of the 18th and 19th centuries and reveals the origins of the card interpretations promoted by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and A. E. Waite. |
